Actor Stahl in Rehab
Actor Stahl in Rehab
In a rather strange story actor Nick Stahl—known mostly for his role as John Conner in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines—has revealed to his friends and family via email that he has enrolled in a drug rehabilitation facility. Prior to this, Stahl had been reported missing by his wife, Rose Murphy, who hadn’t seen or heard from him in over a week in early May 2012. Prior to his disappearance Stahl had apparently been displaying some erratic behavior and was allegedly spending time in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles—an area known for its homeless population and drug activity.
There have been concerns that Nick was once again struggling with addiction—something that he’s dealt with for a few years now. In February 2012 his wife Rose actually filed papers in LA court that would limit Nick’s exposure to their two year old daughter, due to his drug and alcohol abuse. Though it was a rather odd and potentially dangerous route, it seems that Stahl has found his way to professional help. It’s important and telling that he realized the need for treatment on his own, because often times when people seek treatment on their own they tend to be more serious and committed to the recovery process. Hopefully Nick is able to recover from his addictive lifestyle and become a drug rehab success story.
It’s unfortunately common for people to fall into a drug or alcohol addiction to try and cope with their problems, but substance abuse is never the right way to go, and unfortunately sometimes people learn the hard way. But in order to recover it’s extremely important to first become conscious of your problem—something that Nick Stahl was able to do— or make your loved one conscious of their problem and then find the motivation to change the addictive ways. It can be very difficult for a drug addict or an alcoholic and their family to accomplish these things on their own, so that’s where Seabrook can help.
