Seabrook’s Experience with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Seabrook’s experts continue to take a two team approach to stay ahead of the curve on COVID-19 at all Seabrook locations. Seabrook’s teams from quality, IT and clinical combat COVID-19 daily with full force. From day one Seabrook’s quality team has been working around the clock in developing policies and procedures that are compliant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the state of New Jersey’s health policy. As regulations can change in a moment’s notice, our policy team is on top of all new policies, ensuring the safety of all patients, visitors, staff and family members. Seabrook’s quality team continues to monitor the ongoing health crisis and update our policies as needed. We hope you feel confident in knowing our dedicated teams are working day and night to assure COVID-19 does not mean addiction and mental health services are forgotten.
With safety and HIPAA as our top priority, our IT team has expanded our current tele-counseling to include more telehealth platforms for treatment services. Seabrook has always provided the most secure channels for handling sensitive and private information during telehealth sessions. Seabrook knows the importance of HIPAA compliance and provides the best security for our patients. All four of our Seabrook locations can be accessed via telehealth for treatment, counseling and assessments. Patients can receive the same quality of care from the safety of their home.
Seabrook’s clinical team is going above and beyond to assure our patients are receiving the highest level of care available. Seabrook’s outpatient services are available through telehealth. We understand the effects of isolation in recovery which is why our doors remain open to help patients in continuing their journey. Our clinical team is insuring all Seabrook locations are following the CDC guidelines. For well over a month, Seabrook has been doing prescreen telephonic questionnaires for all persons seeking treatment, and will continue to do so. The questions are specific to current symptoms, travel history, and potential exposure. Our clinical team approaches everyone’s case individually and then unites with a decisions on how to handle each patient’s plan
of action.
All vendors, employees, and outpatients are required to wear a mask when entering a Seabrook facility at a designated entrance point. At that time questionnaires are being completed and a temperature is being taken. Those identified as high risk are being quarantined, and referred to their proper healthcare provider for proper steps if indicated necessary. Seabrook has implemented “social distancing” measures in all levels of care and throughout our entire facility. For the safety of patients and employees all in person visitations have been suspended. However, in order to continue to keep quality care we are utilizing platforms such as; Zoom, FaceTime, and BlueJeans for online visitation. All four of Seabrook’s locations have been set up with sanitation stations, and have been cleaning and disinfecting all public, private, living areas and transportation vehicles.
Seabrook has 46 years of vast expertise and is committed to helping clients and their families make addiction recovery possible. You can feel safe knowing you or a loved one are in a safe and healthy environment while under Seabrook’s care.
