New Year, New Life

I often hear people say, I want my life back. I don’t. I want the life I was always meant to have once I understood the meaning of acceptance and peace. The life promised to me if I am painstaking about this phase of my development. It is full of things I never thought would be possible for me. My life didn’t suddenly get better though. I still experience pain, and trauma and financial worries. It’s accepting life on life’s terms, or as someone close to me once said, it’s accepting life on God’s terms. When I can accept that everything is exactly as it is supposed to be, then I can rest easy, and know that I don’t have to fix it,change it or rearrange it. What a relief not to carry the problems of the world, or more simply my friends and family and co-workers , around on my shoulders any more. Now I can focus on what God’s will is for me, and one day at a time, enjoy the rewards of living each moment to it’s fullest, taking the good with the bad. Imagine for yourself, what you would like to see your life look like in five years. Then keep doing the work, including prayer and meditation, and you will be amazed . His plan, His ideas, are always better than ours! Happy New Year!
