New Jersey Man Gets 24 Years for Heroin Dealing
A man from Newark, New Jersey was recently sentenced to 24 years in prison for conspiring to distribute more than 3 pounds of heroin in New Jersey and near Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The man pled guilty in June to knowingly and intentionally conspiring to distribute heroin. Law enforcement agencies tracked the suspect for months, eventually tapping his phones and recording him agreeing to buy and sell heroin. This high profile case comes as heroin use is exploding all across New Jersey, especially in the suburbs. “I would say it’s an epidemic,” said a detective from Dover, New Jersey.
This is not the first person to see their live dissolve after dealing drugs, and it won’t be the last. People who use drugs in illegal ways may not think much about the consequences of their actions, but they are directly supporting criminal activity. The good news is that no matter what the drug is, whether it’s cocaine, heroin, prescription pills, marijuana, alcohol, meth, PCP, bath salts, or anything else, the same remedy works the best: a good treatment program at a top-rated facility.
If you or someone you know has a problem with addiction or dependence to drugs, you should seek help now. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center. At Seabrook, we customize our treatment plans to individual patient’s needs, so you know the help you’re getting is right for you or a loved one.
