$3 Million Cocaine Bust in New Jersey

$3 Million Cocaine Bust in New Jersey

There was a huge drug bust in Metuchen, NJ recently, as authorities arrested four men with 40 kilos of cocaine and $1 million in cash. There were six vehicles also seized in the police operation, and four of the vehicles had electronically-controlled secret compartments to smuggle drugs. The four men arrested in the raid were from New York or Los Angeles. They were charged with conspiracy, money laundering, and possession with intent to distribute.

Though there were no reports of violence at the site of the raid, it remains a fact that the cocaine trade supports criminals and criminal activity, including violent acts. As long as people keep using and abusing cocaine, there will be criminals willing to supply them at any cost. If you have problems with being addicted or dependent on cocaine, marijuana, heroin, meth, crack, pills, or other drugs, these kinds of drug dealers are being supported. This story vividly illustrates that a drug user doesn’t just harm themselves and their families and friends.

If you think you have a problem with drug dependence or abuse, you should seek help instead of supporting criminals. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center.
