TV Producer Dies from Cocaine Overdose

Rice ran his own South Africa-based production company and occasionally did work for TV’s “The Amazing Race.” Rice was found dead and his assistant Kathryn Fuller was found unconscious in a Kampala hotel last week. Rice’s wife initially thought that the two might have been poisoned, but the Uganda Police Force performed an autopsy on Rice that showed major metabolites of cocaine in his system, Fuller tested positive for cocaine, and investigators found a white bag in the hotel room.
