A New You (I Mean Year)

A fresh start! There are no flaws, no broken promises, no tears, no hardships or friendships thrown by the wayside. You open your eyes and you realize that you just have today. This moment that you are in right now, that’s all there is. Everything and everywhere you have been right up to this moment has given you a gift. You are exactly where you are supposed to be and you have the opportunity to take this moment, this day, and do something great with it. If you choose today to be the best you can be, to surrender to a higher power, to seek help if help is needed, to help others if the opportunity arises, then one day at a time makes for a great year! No more looking back with wishful thinking or even remorse. No more looking forward and feeling overwhelmed by the lack of confidence in yourself. Live today, one moment at a time. Look up at the moon on a late night run, breathe in the sweet breath of your grandchild or baby, take a drive and be inspired by the glistening lights hanging from trees and rooftops. Listen when someone needs a friend and most of all, be thankful. When we are truly grateful for where we are at this moment, each moment after becomes that much better. Each day you wake up is another fresh start!
