Alleged Drunk Driving Causes Car Flip

A recent car crash involving two women and a flipped car is believed to have been at least partially caused by alcohol and dangerous speeds. The two women were taken to a local hospital around2:15PM. The vehicle had flipped several times, and kept going almost 150 feet after overturning. “I would say it’s rolled at least three times. That’s quite impressive uphill,” said the police investigator assigned to the case. He added that the women were lucky to have escaped with only minor cuts and bruises.

This particular car crash is just one more dangerous story that proves that alcohol, drugs, or other substances should never be combined with driving. Whether the substance in question is alcohol, pot, or other drugs like cocaine, PCP, meth, heroin, or prescription pills, the fact is that these substances make people behave erratically and do things they normally wouldn’t. If you have an addiction or dependence on drugs or alcohol and drive regularly, the odds are that you’re putting innocent people at risk just like this driver did. The best remedy for substance problems remains what it always has been: a good treatment program.

If you or someone you know has a problem with alcohol addiction or dependence, you should seek help now. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating alcohol and drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center. At Seabrook, we customize our treatment plans to individual patient’s needs, so you know the help you’re getting is right for you or a loved one. Seabrook has rehabilitation centers in New Jersey (NJ), Pennsylvania (PA), and an outpatient center in New York (NY).
