25 Alleged Drug Dealers Captured in New Jersey

A recent joint operation between Hopatcong and Roxbury police departments has resulted in the arrests of 25 alleged drug dealers specializing in heroin, marijuana, and prescription drugs. The month-long police operation also recovered two stolen Honda motorcycles. Roxbury Police Chief James Simonetti said the arrests will make a “significant dent” in the drug trafficking in the area. Hopatcong mayor Sylvia Petillo said, “Drug abuse destroys lives of our children, rips families apart and impacts the safety in our community. We are committed to fighting the battle of substance abuse in its many forms.”

Many drugs users don’t factor into account the way their drug use creates and sustains a culture of crime and violence in the drug trade. As long as people keep using and abusing cocaine, marijuana, heroin, meth, crack, pills, or other drugs, there will be criminals willing to supply them at any cost. And not only do drugs impact the lives of users, they also ruin the lives of the dealers as well. That’s why it’s so important to combat drug use and abuse. The best way to do that is the same it’s always been: a good program of treatment.

If you think you have a problem with drug dependence or abuse, you should seek help instead of supporting criminals. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center.
