Concerts Turn Deadly As Partiers Overdose

An investigation into Los Angeles-area concerts and parties has shown an alarming number of deaths to overdose and other drug-related occurrences. The investigation found that at least 14 people had died in the Los Angeles area in the concerts and raves. The report blames two concert promoters, who may have been too lenient in the way they handled drugs. Most of the deaths were accompanied by Ecstasy or other designer drugs—that is, drugs designed to circumvent substance control laws.

Most of the people who died were young, in their teens or 20s. The youngest victim was only 15 years old. Their tragic deaths are yet more examples of how drugs can destroy or end lives. Though you may think you’re just having fun when you’re taking Ecstasy or other party drugs, the fact is that you’re literally endangering your life. If you have a drug problem, now is the time to seek help before it’s your name on the news. Seek a good course of treatment and you can bring your life out of danger.

If you have a problem with alcohol or drug abuse or know someone who does, you should seek help now for yourself or your loved one. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center.
